Christian Klemt
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Christian Klemt has served as Chief Accounting Officer since August 2017. In 2020 he was named General Manager of our Amsterdam site. In June 2021 Mr. Klemt was appointed as our Chief Financial Officer.
Since joining uniQure in 2015, Mr. Klemt transformed the finance and accounting functions, established the financial planning and analysis function, led various tax and treasury initiatives, and oversaw the buildout of the Company’s IT function. In addition, Mr. Klemt oversaw the 2018, 2020 and 2021 roll-overs of our debt facility.
Mr. Klemt brings more than 20 years of experience to uniQure. From 2009 until 2015, as Finance Director at CGGVeritas (NYSE: CGG). Between 2005 and 2007 he served as the Group Finance Manager of Basell Polyolefins N.V. and following the merger with Houston-based Lyondell Inc. in 2007 (NYSE: LBI), played an integral role in various acquisition projects.
Mr. Klemt holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Muenster, Germany and qualified as a German Certified Public Accountant and Tax Advisor whilst working at KPMG from 1999 to 2005.
