Pierre Caloz
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Pierre Caloz joined uniQure as Chief Operating Officer in May 2021. In his role, he oversees Manufacturing Operations, Product Development and Analytical Development.
His addition to the management team significantly deepens our CMC leadership and is a natural evolution as uniQure advances toward global commercial manufacturing.
Mr. Caloz has nearly 25 years of global operations experience in the biopharma industry, including at CSL Behring, Merck-Serono, Abgenix and Amgen. Most recently, Pierre served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of EU and Asia Pacific Operations at CSL Behring, where he managed a team of more than 4,000 FTEs and an operating budget of more than EUR 1 billion.
Pierre earned a B.Sc. degree from the University of Geneva, a M.Sc. degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and an E.M.B.A. from the Ashridge Business School.
